Hamilton Cams 07-S-002 Competition Valve Springs Fits 89-98 Dodge 5.9L Cummins

  • 165-170lbs. seat pressure
  • Handles cams up to .650 lift
  • Has extra stress relief processes to prolong longevity in high stress applications
  • Best for competition engines with high lift cams or high rpm

Our 12 valve springs were designed to fix many of the problems in the 12v valvetrain. Factory and “60lb” springs do not have enough spring pressure to adequately control the valvetrain in all conditions. In fact at 1.4” they have exactly the same pressure as factory springs! Trucks running over 3400rpm with stock springs or 3800rpm with 60lb springs are experiencing valve float. Beehive design to reduce valvetrain mass, increase initial acceleration of the valve, and to cancel spring harmonics. Nitrided to prevent corrosion. Made with only the best ovate wire available to handle cams with high lift. Must be used with our 10° locks and ultra-light 4130 retainers. These springs will easily handle cams with .600” lift. Uses our HD12vs-1 for street trucks that see occasional track use. Use our HD12VS-2 for trucks that spend lots of time over 5000rpm or have super aggressive cams. Our -2 version has three extra shot peen and stress relieving processes for added peace of mind with your competition engine. Literally the best 12valve spring on the market! Our 10 degree chromoly retainers weigh in at 11.8 grams a piece, factory retainers weigh around 40 grams a piece and some Ti replacements on the market are almost 25 grams.
